From 9AM to 3PM, Monday through Friday, campers will write hilarious sketches, rehearse them with a real creative team, and perform it all in a fully produced show on Friday night. Kooky? Absolutely. Fast-paced? You bet. Mega-ultra-super-fun? DO YOU EVEN HAVE TO ASK!?

Organized by local sketch comic and educator Jacob Rozansky alongside SD Junior Theater coordinator Gina Barba, SD Night Live is a one-of-a-kind chance for young performers to 30 Rock your socks off! Right here in Carlsbad!

Younger cohort (10–13): July 27–31 | Older Cohort (14-17): August 3-7

Jacob Rozansky

Jacob Rozansky is a sketch comedian and educator in North County San Diego who has been writing, performing, and producing comedy for over a decade. He and his fiancée Paige Chadwick run the sketch troupe Dad Skeleton, and he teaches sketch writing classes at Finest City Improv and other theaters around town. By day, Jacob is an Academic Coach in special education at High Tech High, where he helps students reach new heights. He loves jokes, playing chess, twirling pens, and gigantic, ridiculous props.

Gina Barba

Gina Barba is a San Diego-born theatre maker and educator with a decade of experience helping students find their voices on stage. Over the past 10 years, Gina has taught all over the country working with students from ages 3 to 18! Most recently, Gina worked as the Education Coordinator at San Diego Junior Theatre, the oldest continuously running youth theatre in the country. Though she’ll always be a theatre kid at heart, Gina is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching & Learning and teaching middle school. She’s passionate about arts education, her students, and the San Diego Padres.
