Policies and Accessibility

COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY

Audience and artist safety is our primary concern.  As pandemic conditions evolve, we reserve the right to enhance or relax our COVID policies.

At this time we strongly encourage audience members to wear masks while seated in the theatre space. Masks and proof of vaccination are not required.

Refunds will not be given for patrons turned away due to the COVID safety protocol; however, we offer exchanges so that the cost of the ticket(s) can be applied to a future performance.

TICKET ORDERS

All ticket orders are subject to a flat $3 booking fee, whether booking online, in person, or over the phone.

A $3 per-ticket fee is applied to all orders, regardless of purchasing online or at the Box Office.

New Village Arts cannot hold tickets or seats without payment.

New Village Arts does not utilize physical tickets. All tickets are held in our online system to save on paper waste.

SUBSCRIBER FEES

Subscribers pay no per-ticket fees for their subscription, or when using their account to purchase additional tickets for friends or family. Fees will automatically be waived when using your login credentials online. Be sure to notify our Box Office representatives if you call or visit in person to ensure you do not incur fees.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES

All ticket sales are final. You may exchange unwanted or unused tickets (up to 48 hours prior to showtime) for tickets to another event, based on availability, or for credit to your NVA account. No refunds or exchanges will be made after a show has started. Exchanges may be subject to additional cost if upgrading to a more expensive ticket or production.

If you find yourself with unused tickets, please consider converting the cost of your tickets into a tax-deductible donation to NVA. Contact the Box Office for more information.

YOUR ONLINE ACCOUNT

Your online account stores all of your order history and account information, and is digitally secure. Occasionally, discount codes or other promotions may not appear in your online cart until you reach the login page when buying tickets.

If you are unable to log in to your account because you have lost your password (you will be prompted to log in during the ticket-buying process), NVA staff can send you a link to reset your password. Contact the Box Office by email at info@newvillagearts.org or call us at (760) 433-3245.

FOOD & DRINK

NVA offers a limited bar with prepackaged snacks (candy, nuts, etc.). While we do allow drinks purchased at the Happy Times Bar into the theatre, no food is permitted regardless of where it was purchased. Food & Drink is permitted in our lobby area.

PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Please turn off all electronic devices including phones, watches, computers and tablets before the performance. The use of Cameras and Recording Devices is strictly prohibited during performances.

LATECOMERS

We always do our best to seat our patrons even when they are late. We know that parking and traffic can sometimes get in the way of punctuality. Due to the intimate nature of NVA’s theatre, however, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager. Patrons who arrive past the posted start time of an event are not guaranteed to be seated. If we are unable to seat you, you may be able to exchange your tickets for another performance, based on availability.

ACCESSIBILITY

NVA has ramped access to the lobby, restrooms, and emergency exits. Three removable front-row seats are available for patrons in wheelchairs. Patrons who purchase wheelchair or companion seats, but who do not require those seats, may be reseated at the discretion of the House Manager if a patron with a disability requires accessible seating.

New Village Arts attempts to make live theatre accessible to all members of our community.

If you require ASL interpretation services, please contact the Box Office to inquire about availability. Please note that ASL interpretation may not be available for all shows or without adequate notice.

RESTROOMS

NVA has four restrooms – one for women with multiple stalls, one for men with one stall and a urinal, and 2 single occupancy restrooms for all genders. All restrooms are wheelchair-accessible. While NVA does provide gender-specific restrooms, we encourage all patrons to use the restrooms that align with their gender identity.
