Experience a transformative journey with A Walk with Yáamay, a series of free, site-specific guided “art walks” presented by New Village Arts and Queer Sol Collective.
Curated by jovanny perez, Juan A. Reynoso, and Camaray Davalos

Drawing inspiration from Yáamay: An Anthology of Feminine Perspectives Across Indigenous California, this experience invites you to become part of the narrative.
Every participant will be provided with a journal and pencil to capture personal reflections, sketches, and insights as the performance unfolds around them- as well as a copy of the anthology.
The A Walk with Yáamay program is proud to partner with Queer Sol Collective, the poets of Yáamay, and local parks and recreation spaces to bring this experience to life.
A Walk With Yáamay is in collaboration with The Queer Sol Collective.

“My prayer for this program will be that the expressions created by our Indigenous artists will spark curiosity and loving conviction amongst our participants, drawing them closer together, closer to their own origin stories.”
Juan A. Reynoso (he/they)
