Nathan, an acclaimed songwriter, vocalist and guitarist steeped in tradition, honed his craft through years of gigs and sessions alongside blues legends James Harman, Kim Wilson, Pinetop Perkins, Billy Boy Arnold, Lazy Lester, and Johnny Dyer.

Ross is a versatile, forward-thinking artist—one of the premier session harmonica players in film and recording, with credits on Oscar-, Grammy-, and Emmy Award–winning projects for artists like Beyoncé and Bon Iver. Recently Ross was featured in the movies Bob Dylan Complete Unknown, and Sinners for performing most of the harmonica you hear on the soundtracks.

By chance, they both found themselves living in a town of fewer than one hundred residents in the San Jacinto Mountains. Though from different musical worlds, a shared devotion to country blues drew them together. The result is a sound both intimate and expansive—like a campfire casting light across an entire valley. Their music balances the earthy and the ethereal: a juke joint dissolving into a dream. It favors intention over polish and leans as much on mood as technique. The Garner Valley Boys create music that feels both timeless and unmistakably modern.
