After her stand up show in Los Angeles, a comedian is thrown into a world apocalypse where she must figure out how to survive. She embarks on a life threatening comedic journey trying to get to her parents home in Montana in hopes they are still alive. Along the way she is rescued by doomsday prep-per’s, learns to tie knots, sucks gas from a car, and tries to find her place in this new world where creatives are no longer needed. Throughout her journey she copes with her changing circumstances by creating different comedic personas and writing jokes that she improvises on the spot while imagining herself at an open mic. Even during this devastating experience she realizes that if you look hard enough, there’s funny in everything. Because when the world ends, do we stop creating? No. We just pretend to talk to a fake audience.

About the Performers
Marissa Fennell (Writer & Performer) is a comic, actor, and writer who has been gracing the Los Angeles community with her art for over ten years. She is a self producing stage performer from theatre to stand up comedy who has performed in award winning productions such as The Legend of Bonny Anne and All New People where she won Best Actress in a Play by the Valley Theatre Awards. She is also a festival winning Stand Up Comedian and has performed at notable clubs such as The Ice House , The HaHa Comedy Club, Flappers Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory, and has won Best of the Fest at the Burbank Comedy Festival and The World Series of Comedy. She has been performing her self written solo show IT’S ALL A JOKE for the last year in six different productions where she was also recognized and nominated by the Broadway World LA Awards 2025 for Best Solo Production and Best Solo Performance. She is ecstatic to finally be sharing this tumultuous hilarity with her friends and family in her hometown.
Cumulative for the past 24 years, Andrew Ceglio (Director) has been working as a professional actor, director/choreographer, creative consultant, and private acting coach spanning from the Bay Area of central California to Los Angeles. Recent director/choreographer credits include Company with Santa Cruz Actors’ Theatre, Tom Foolery with Cabrillo Stage, and The Legend of Bonny Anne with the 2018 SHE L.A. Theatre Festival. Currently he just came off directing and staring in the world premier of Ghostlight, a new musical, where he won Best Production by the 2026 SHE L.A. Theatre Festival. Andrew is currently broadening his teaching offerings as an empowerment acting coach assisting individuals to discover and express their true selves through the art of acting. www.andrewceglio.com
David Hardy (Producer & Opening Comic) has been acting and performing stand-up comedy for over 15 years across the country. He has been a part of notable productions such as Boys of Winter and Extremities, and is an award-winning theatre producer for The Legend of Bonny Anne. While acting is his first love, stand-up is his mistress, offering him a voice he’s learned to trust and grow from, even while pursuing other work. He has performed at world-renowned venues including The Hollywood Improv, The Ice House, and The HaHa Comedy Club. David is represented by Johnson Talent Agency, and you may have seen him in commercials for Car Shield, Applebee’s, American Airlines, Big Fig Mattress, and Apple.
