Blues Harmonica Party with Nathan James!

All good friends paying homage to and telling stories of the great bluesman James Harman whom played New Village Arts many times throughout the years!

Show will feature several of Nathan James’ original band members, close friends, and top harmonica players from around the world including: Victor Puertas from Barcelona Spain, Grammy winning film session player Ross Garren, and Southern California legends Billy Watson and Troy Sandow.

Backing band includes original Harman drummer from early 80’s, Steven Hodges (Mavis Staples, Tom Waits), Nathan James on guitar (James Harman, Kim Wilson), Victor Puertas  on Keys (top European session player), and Troy Sandow on bass (James Harman, Kim Wilson). All good friends paying homage to and telling stories of the great bluesman James Harman whom played New Village Arts many times throughout the years!

Blues singer and harmonica player James Harman was born in Anniston Alabama in 1946 and passed away in 2021 in Oceanside. He became a world wide legend with his performances and original songwriting for decades starting in the early 60’s. Backed up many blues legends including T-Bone Walker, Joe Turner, Freddie King among others! James was often featured on ZZ Top albums, and toured with Billy Gibbons. His music was featured on several Hollywood soundtracks throughout his career. His band the Dangerous Gentlemen’s was the springboard for the careers many celebrated guitarists including Hollywood Fats and Kid Ramos.
