An Audition/Self-Tape Intensive From Tape to Room that focuses not just on creating strong self-tapes, but on how to carry that work into the in-person callback. Often, that bridge is missing for actors. This class will provide a practical skill set that will serve students in auditions in all sizes of theatre organizations.
The instructor Verity Branco hails from Massachusetts and holds her MFA in acting from The University of Texas at Austin, BA in Theatre from California State University, Northridge and is a certified voice coach. Verity’s love of performance and teaching has taken her all over the country. She has served on acting faculty for Boston University, California State University Northridge, Pasadena College and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy of Los Angeles. She has appeared in numerous films and TV shows for Netflix, ABC, Nickelodeon, AMC+, TNT and CBS. Verity has won multiple awards for her stage work and was nominated for her work on screen for best supporting actress by the North East Film Festival. Some of her favorite roles have been playing MIMI MARQUEZ in RENT (Zach Scott Theatre) and LAURA in Steve Martin’s Meteor Shower for The Theatre Workshop of Nantucket. She is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA as well as Actors’ Equity Association.
