AFABulous combines fierce drag performances and epic storytelling (supported by community partnerships with Big Table Productions and the House of Barr) to help our audience get to know San Diego’s queer nightlife entertainers and learn more about what’s out there in our drag community beyond cis-male drag queens. Each performer performs one drag number of their choice and a short personal narrative story centered around this year’s theme: “It’s My First Time.” They’re telling stories around any kind of firsts that relate to each performer’s drag journey: first time in drag, first costume reveal, first time binding, first rhinestone, first drink, first relationship… anything is possible!
