Carlsbad entertainer and resident Rosemary Watson returns with a unique night of laughter and music! This month’s offering includes songs from the 60s and 70s with keyboard great Rob Gironda (Atomic Groove, Steely Damned 2), as well as Rosemary’s impeccable vocal impressions (Martha Stewart follow her!) and comedic meanderings (Carol Burnett calls her, “terrific.”) Special musical guest, Patrick Berrogain will add some romantic swing as only a French Jazz guitarist can, and a surprise artist will add, well a surprise! Don’t miss out. One night only.
ROSEMARY WATSON:
A multi-faceted entertainer wearing many hats, as well as many wigs! Rosemary Watson is known for her impersonations (The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Howard Stern, The View, Let’s Be Real) singing (The Queen Latifah Show) voice-overs, comedy writing and TV hosting (HGTV, Discovery). In 2012, she appeared at the request of her idol, Carol Burnett, on PBS’s Mark Twain Prize for Humor, to help honor the legend who has called Rosemary one of her “favorite comedians.” She lives in Carlsbad with her perfect teen-age son, well-trained (ahem) dog and patient husband, Richie. She’d love to connect with you at www.rosemarywatson.com. Watch her antics on Instagram @ Rosemarysvoice or facebook: rosemary.watson.voices
PATRICK BERROGAIN:
Patrick Berrogain’s musical journey began at 13 when he bought his first guitar. Shortly thereafter he picked up the bass. His natural talent and deep love for music landed him professional jobs while still in high school. At 19, he joined the Italian pop/rock band Delta Landa, and toured the world for over a year. Patrick turned to America to pursue his passion for jazz. He enrolled at the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood (now The Guitar Institute) and studied composition and arranging at the Dick Grove School of Music. Upon graduating with special distinction, Patrick was encouraged by guitar legend and friend, Peter Sprague, to move to San Diego some 30 years ago. In 2007, he founded the Hot Club Combo, a jazz ensemble celebrated for its romantic style and unique Django-inspired sound. Today, Patrick is thrilled to get to play with his 18-year old son, Dexter.
