What’s so funny about getting old? Plenty! The Brassy Broads is a troupe of hilarious women of a “certain age” who entertain people of all ages by finding the funny in their everyday lives, presented in a slightly saucy manner. Founded just over a year ago, the Brassy Broads have performed all over San Diego County in a variety of venues, including some retirement communities.
Proceeds from the Brassy Broads Comedy Show are donated to the James Shirey Foundation, a heartfelt tribute to James Richard Shirey Jr., who tragically passed away on January 10, 2009, at the young age of 14 due to complications from Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH). Founded in October 2017 by one of the Brassy Broads members and the mother of James, comic Sue Shirey, this foundation is dedicated to keeping James’ memory alive by making a positive impact on our community through charitable initiatives. https://jamesshireyfoundation.
