In Monday Night Live!, neurodiverse students will explore themes (anime, musicals, etc) through different acting forms (stand-up, scene work, show hosting, movement, music, etc) to acquire more acting techniques based on material that interests the individual students. Of course, we end with our own comedy sketch show… Monday Night Live!
Developed by NVA Artistic Associate and Teaching Artist Samantha Ginn, “Monday Night Live!” is an improv class for teenagers and young adults with neurodiversity, and their neurotypical peers. Working in a collaborative and safe environment, this program aims to give students the tools they need to enhance self-expression, collaboration, and confidence. Each course culminates in a live performance for students’ friends and families.
