Art Creates Connection

Through the arts, we will encourage self-exploration, enhance communication skills, and build new friendships.

Class is $450 for the 8 Week Series.

In this class, neurodiverse young adults and teens will explore a wide variety of art modalities such as visual arts, drama, music, and dance. Through the arts, we will encourage self-exploration, enhance communication skills, and build new friendships. “Art Creates Connection” is taught by Expressive Arts Therapists Cassandra Walker and Michelle Wolsky.

Class is $450 for the 8 Week Series.

About the Instructors:

Michelle W.

Michelle is an expressive arts therapist with extensive social service experience. She has worked with a range of populations including youth at risk and their families, adults who are medically compromised, the chronically homeless, and neurodivergent individuals. She has a master’s degree in expressive arts therapy with a minor in psychology. She is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for recycled and nature-based art. Favorite Plays: The Princess and the Pea and Peter Pan

Cassandra W.

Cassandra has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, Masters in Expressive Arts Therapy, and a Minor in Psychology. Currently, she provides expressive arts services for neurodivergent individuals cultivating social/emotional awareness in addition to providing micro business support for those interested in creative entrepreneurship. She was the props/puppet maker for “Stellaluna” at NVA and has also co-facilitated improv for “Monday Night Live!” Favorite Plays: Anything Goes, Godspell, and Rent
