In light of the recent recommendation by Governor Gavin Newsom, the County, and the California Department of Health regarding public gatherings, and out of an abundance of caution, we at New Village Arts have decided it is in the best interest of our community that we cancel our Annual Gala, and postpone our upcoming production of THE ROOMMATE indefinitely.
We do not make this decision lightly. Cancelling our gala and postponing THE ROOMMATE will have profound financial ramifications; and we are so proud of the work that the actors, directors, designers, and staff have put into our upcoming events. However, the health and well-being of our audience and community must come first.
We are offering options to current ticket holders for THE ROOMMATE:
- You may choose to transfer your ticket to a 100% tax-deductible donation. This is going to be a devastating time for arts organizations and nonprofits, and a donation supports New Village Arts and our staff and artists in these uncertain times, and we hope you will consider this as an option. Likewise, you might consider a standalone donation to support NVA as we attempt, like so many others, to weather this storm. Any gift is appreciated. Click here to make a donation.
- You may also transfer the cost of your ticket(s) to a credit on your account, which may be applied to future purchases at NVA.
As we anticipate a large number of requests, we ask for your patience as we address the needs of all of our patrons. You can fill out this form to put in your request now. (Please be aware that we are a small organization and it will take some time to address each individual ticket holder).
We appreciate your support as we continue to monitor the situation; we will keep you informed of upcoming changes. In the meantime, please continue to take care of yourself and your loved ones.
