ARTIST BIO
Rita Pacheco attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where she majored in illustration. During her subsequent career as an interior designer/architectural illustrator, she created perspective renderings in watercolor for clients, including many popular restaurants and hotels. In 1993, after ten years in commercial art, Rita began her second career as a freelance artist. Today, Rita's portfolio includes studio and plein air landscapes and figurative paintings in oil.Constantly honing her craft through continuing education, recently attending workshops from some of her favorite artists like John Budicin and Jeff Yeomans, taking classes regularly at the Watts Atelier in Encinitas, California, Rita's style has become more refined and confident.
Rita was featured in the Press Enterprise "Artist Spotlight", June 23, 2008, and on January 11, 2009 for her work juried into the "Artscape Fall and Winter 2008 Exhibition" held at the Riverside County Administration Building. She and an her work is pictured in the winter 2008 issue of American Artist Workshop magazine.
