What's left of the 07-08 Season

 Golden Boy Jun 21st - Jul 13th
By Clifford Odets
Directed by Joshua Everett Johnson

Love is always worth fighting for… American playwright Clifford Odets crafted this 1930's love story about a classically trained violinist with a unique attribute: the skill and strength to become the lightweight champion of the world. In a New York City dominated by Odets' quirky characters and street poetry, he must choose between the fists and the fiddle, the glamorous and the gutsy, what he needs and the woman he wants.

 Sailor's Song Aug 2nd - Aug 24th
By John Patrick Shanley
Directed by Kristianne Kurner

"You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll never forget it." says the San Diego Magazine. NVA takes you back to visit with the unforgettable characters of SAILOR'S SONG in this extravagant, romantic seaside story decorated with dance. This stylistically daring love story brings us a cynical man and a true believer who battle over beautiful women and the power of love. One of NVA's most requested "repeat" performances.

The Complete Works of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged) Aug 10th - Aug 31st
By Adam Long, Daniel Singer & Jess Borgeson
Directed by Rob Salas

The Complete Works of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged) was written by the Reduced Shakespeare Company, and first performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1987. Within the span of the evening every single Shakespeare play is covered as well as a nod given to the sonnets. It is notable for holding the (self-proclaimed) world record for the shortest-ever performance of HAMLET, clocking in at 43 seconds. We’re thinking we can beat the record. ALL PERFORMANCES ARE FREE TO SUBSCRIBERS AND PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN FOR EVERYONE ELSE!
