Opening Night for Prelude to a Kiss

Monday, April 21st, 2008
by Elaine Gingery

With a sold out house and a spot on performance, Prelude to a Kiss opened without a hitch (well, there was one “Hitch” but he’s a well known reviewer). The after party was catered by Chef Dave Krohn and everyone had a lovely time. Check out some of the photos from the event over at our Flickr site.

Opening Night for Dancing at Lughnasa

Saturday, March 8th, 2008
by Elaine Gingery

We had an incredible night here at New Village Arts with the Opening of Dancing at Lughnasa. The band Skibbereen lent a decidedly Irish tone to the evening, opening up the house with the lilt of a flute and the atmosphere of an pub. With the sold out house and the kind of audience artists dream of, the show went brilliantly. Afterwards we celebrated the evening with Jack Missett’s famous corned beef, a table full of Guinness and a mashed potato martini bar; the crowd ate, drank and had all of us up way past our bedtime.

Here’s a couple shots of the audience and one of the band. We hope all of you who joined us had a lovely night and we look forward to seeing you here again!
